Traditionally this piece should be upside down, with the wider/heavier piece at the bottom. But it just didn't feel right that way. Also wanted to contrast the heavy greek key wiht the ethereal gridded Japanese rice paper. All elements challenge the concept of balance.

The palette here is very calming, and all the open space makes it feel peaceful. Having the composition on the dynamic keeps it from being boring.

This piece came off the Gelli plate as almost a finished piece but needed a few pieces of collage to unify it. Everyone is drawn to this piece; the colors have universal appeal. Available as a giclee print.

This started as just a combination of two different patterned papers, but the line between them was jarring. So I added another patterned paper, but this one was transparent and had a curve, and voila, the feel of the whole piece changed. Happy accidents are the best.
